Growing up with lots of Soul and Jazz Records and Musicians visiting, I still take a lot of inspiration out of that. Woody Shaw doing a headstand in our livingroom, Billy Higgins and Clifford Jordan sitting in the Kitchen or Dee Dee Bridgewater and her daughters celebrating Christmas with us. My father used to have a hat, Babz Gozales used to wear. There was "LA LA" stitched on to that hat. This expression somehow stick with me from little on. I connect it still very strong with all the music there is that I love and I heard. There are no boundaries, no limits, no categories just "LA LA". Somehow I wanted to do a special cover for one of my mixes and I ended up doing plenty of LA LA CD Cases for my LA LA mixes. There you go....
